Lost phone, lost wallet, lost life
It’s been a while since I’ve felt so completely and utterly not myself. It all started when I uncharacteristcally forgot my cell phone in my mother’s car as she dropped me off at the airport in Houston. I hate talking on the phone, but it’s still nice to know that it’s there. Due to a mishap with the postal service my phone wasn’t scheduled to arrive until today, so that meant 5 to 6 days without it.
So I had no phone. No big deal. I can handle it. But some time between Friday night and Saturday afternoon I also managed to lose my wallet either in the street on N. Clybourn Ave., inside Pier One or at the bottom of a Purple People Eater’s stomach. All of these events led up to an emotional breakdown driving along Lake Shore Drive Sunday night on my way back home from Downtown. With no wallet and no phone my gas light lit up approximately 10 miles from home. Somehow I managed to make it home and find a parking spot despite it all. So please forgive me if I’ve acted a lil crazy the last week or so, it’s seems I also lost my mind somewhere along the way.
Next time I lose my cell I’ll be sure to take Lori Kozlowski’s advice from the LA Times. Slow news day? Clearly.
I don’t know who the hell this guy is, but I needed a laugh.

Hi there,
I looked over your blog and it looks really good. Do you ever do link exchanges on your blog roll? If you do, I’d like to exchange links with you.
Let me know if you’re interested.
Thanks..
Oh Riley! That sucks. I’m sorry- but at least you’re getting your phone back. As for the mind, I’m still looking for mine but once I find it, I can help you find yours.
